The Robert Koch Doctoral College (Robert Koch Doktorand*innenkolleg; RoKoDoKo) is a voluntary association of doctoral students and young Post-Docs of the Robert Koch Institute.

Each year, the RoKoDoKo offers a large number of training and networking opportunities for young researchers to prepare for the requirements of the academic and non-academic labour market. These include various workshops, our own conference for students (RoKoCon), the RoKoDoKo Journal Club, the RoKoDoKo Cinema, and the Science Compass, at which possible career paths are presented to young scientists.

Focus

The program of the RoKoDoKo teaches modern technologies of surveillance and epidemiology, new trends in molecular biology and microbiology, advanced statistics and bioinformatics, and gives insights into the wide field of public health. The RoKoDoKo invites national and international researchers to discuss specific topics and to establish and foster cooperation, networks and connections to other research institutes. Topics of the RoKoDoKo have an interdisciplinary focus and broaden the interdisciplinary competence of all researchers.
