Theory – Empirics – Practices of Pedagogical Teaching Processes

Social SciencesEducational sciences

The graduate school “Theory – Empirics – Practices of Pedagogical Teaching Processes” (TEP) allows the qualification and continued support and mentoring of scientific trainees in the field of educational science and music pedagogy of the University of Potsdam. In the center of the graduate school are historical and theoretical educational scientific projects, as well as empirically qualitative and quantitative scientific projects. Pedagogical learning and teaching processes in institutions and in informal social fields are being examined.

Focus

Six professors from the human science faculty of the University of Potsdam, from the profile area educational science, support the graduate school. Further colleagues from other faculties of the university, particularly those from teaching methodology and colleagues from other universities are invited to participate in the work. Concerning qualification projects, the dynamic cooperation of the steering group allows typical one on one relations to be expanded by a larger circle with multiple perspectives and inter disciplinary orientations.

The graduate school takes a special interest in those, whose doctorates and post-doctorate projects are being supported by participating professors. Thematically, all research work is welcome which concerns itself with acquisition and learning and teaching processes. The combination of qualifying new researchers of the Potsdam of University and experienced professionals, who are simultaneously working in their field and on their doctorate, is a large concern for the participants.
